Welcome, CapU Faculty.

Capilano University Faculty Association (CFA), previously Capilano College Faculty Association, has proudly been representing this faculty since 1969. The membership has grown from 19 instructors to almost 600 and includes faculty from all campuses and locations.

We have addressed, and continue to address, issues of faculty workload, professional development, access to benefit plans, and fair and open processes such as evaluation, appointments, and assignments of workload.

Through this union your voice is welcome and important.

The CFA's work takes place on the sovereign and unceded Homelands of the Lil’wat, xʷməθkʷəỷəm (Musqueam), ̓ shíshálh (Sechelt), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), SəỈílwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh), and Stó꞉lō Nations.

The CFA honours the sacred relationships to land, waterways, and the natural world of the Host Nations since time immemorial. The CFA stands in solidarity with Indigenous struggles for justice and liberation in face of ongoing attempted genocide, colonial oppression, and occupation.

This land acknowledgment was articulated by the CFA's Indigenous Faculty committee.
